Spaces for Practice of Mindfulness

There are select designated spaces at the large beautiful green campus of the University of Florida reserved to the practice of mindfulness meditation, reflection, contemplative prayer, and to reenergize.

Sanctuary of Wisdom Room

The Sanctuary of Wisdom Room is located on the second floor of the UF Health Heart & Vascular Hospital, the Sanctuary of Wisdom meditation room is designed for prayer and contemplation, inclusive of all religions and belief systems. It can be used by patients, visitors, faculty and staff.

Baughman Center

The Baughman Center 

is a stunning, elegant contemplation space. It is considered one of the most beautiful, peaceful spots in Gainesville at the shore of lake Alice.  

Wilmot Botanical Garden

Explore the Wilmot Botanical Gardens located on the UF Health Shands campus. These gardens are free and open to the public year-round, offering a camellia collection, bromeliad garden, and more. Sign up for a guided tour, or enjoy at your leisure.

Reflection/Meditation Room 

One Reflection/Meditation Room is located on the third floor (Rm 3325) in the Reitz Union, UF campus, Gainesville. The room is available for contemplative practices, meditation, prayer, and reflection.  Be aware that the room has no windows and furniture.
